Contracting Solutionz comprises a specialist array of proven talents, spearheaded by the company principals - Neil Sayer and Perry Hutchinson who have sixty years combined experience working in the project contracting and manufacturing environment in New Zealand, Australia, North America, England and Asia.

Neil and Perry's skills and expertise have been gained through having "been there and done that". They do not offer solutions out of a box: rather they provide sound, proven and practical advice based on solid experience. They are able to share a variety of tools and frameworks they have personally developed over the years and which will be relevant to help grow your business.

Their experience and skills are extremely complimentary and cover the full array of business challenges that face company owners and managers in todays' highly competitive and volatile world.

Neil Sayer has worked for over 25 years in a variety of commercial, business development, and leadership roles in the private and public sectors in New Zealand, England, Australia and North America.

During Neil’s tenure, Glidepath was awarded numerous business awards including 4 Trade New Zealand commendations and the 2002 Engineering Exporter of the Year. Concurrently, Neil was active as Vice Chairman of the New Zealand - Latin America Business Council, and as a board member for “AREDS” - a Government initiative to strategically review and facilitate initiatives for Auckland Regional development.

Previously, Neil spent 5 years as a lead Business Development Manager at Trade New Zealand working with companies across a number of sectors; 3 years as Commercial Manager within the Cable Price Downer group; and 11 years in various commercial roles within the giant GEC-Marconi conglomerate in England. His experience is truly broad and international.

Competitive by nature, Neil is passionate about succeeding and achieving one’s potential, hopes and aspirations - whether in the sports, company or personal arena.

Having grown, matured and developed his own style and blue print for success under the wing of significant international players, Neil ‘stepped out’ in 2009 to work with ex colleague, Perry Hutchinson, to embark on the next chapter of the journey.

Perry Hutchinson has extensive experience working in project driven organisations, from engineering design and commissioning to project management to managing contracting companies. This management experience includes:

Perry holds an MBA and likes to keep himself up to date with the latest developments in management practice. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Management.

Perry has well rounded skills in all areas of general management with special expertise in the areas of strategic management, project management and operations management in a projecting environment. Like Neil, Perry offers years of hands on leadership experience gained at the coal face and is able to share this knowledge to clients wanting to successfully grow their organisations.

Neil’s main ‘claim to fame’ was his 6 years as CEO of iconic Auckland baggage handling company, Glidepath. During his time at the helm, he successfully steered their strategic moves into new markets in North and South America; and operationally re-positioned Glidepath’s capabilities and project role from being a lower tier mechanical product supplier for ‘the big boys’ to becoming a high tech system integrator and lead project contractor in their own right - with responsibility for multi-million dollar turnkey projects, including Glidepath’s conveyors, and increasingly their internally developed automated software control systems.
