- Reporting directly to the BCS Group CEO.
- Responsible for sales, marketing, financial and project management for North
  American operations.

Key roles:
1. Contractor and consultant to ADI Ltd, Sydney, Australia, a leading global
    Defense Contractor and Shipbuilder.
    O   Management and development of a complex estimating assignment to
          tender an A$2B Amphibious Ship program to the Australian Navy.
    O   Member of senior management team responsible for bid and general
         commercial strategy.
2. Commercial Director for Babcock New Zealand Ltd naval operation and
    maintenance facility at Davenport Dockyard, Auckland.
    O Responsible for development and implementation of a revised company
       business model; including a lead role in the associated Change Management  
       team.
    O Member of bid team for the tender and negotiation of a 10 year contract
        renewal term for the operation and maintenance contract for the dockyard.
3. Board member of “AREDS’ (Auckland Regional Economic Development
    Strategy),
a New Zealand Government and Auckland City sponsored program
    to initiate strategic change, and ultimate economic development for the
    Auckland region.

Responsible for:
- Leading company annual revenue growth from A$15M to $45M.
- Staff development and management from circ. 65 to 120 people.
- Consistently acceptable EBIT profitability returns.
- Strategic business development to lead the company into new markets beyond
  Australia and ASEAN; particularly into the Americas.
- Capability development and change management to migrate the company from a
  lower tier mechanical supplier to a comprehensive turnkey lead contractor and
  system integrator of complete systems involving mechanical, controls, and
  sophisticated information technology.              

1995- 1997 Business Development Manager, Engineering, Building & Construction for “Tradenz” (the New Zealand Government Trade & Enterprise Ministry).
Team Manager responsible for developing and executing individual and group programs for engineering, building and construction companies throughout New Zealand - all designed to assist their export earnings performance. Particularly active with market entry programs for Australia and ASEAN countries.

1992 - 1995 Senior Project Manager for Tradenz.
Responsible for executing defense and engineering industry programs, working with a variety of New Zealand companies. Particular focus on leveraging opportunities to work with European and North American major companies afforded through their participation in the Australasian A$2Billion ANZAC Ship Project.

Hired to assist New Zealand companies seeking work on the ANZAC Ship Project, as part of ‘promised’ $503 M New Zealand industry content. Directly involved in working with companies to position, tender and negotiate A$100M business

1990 - 1991Commercial Manager for Cable Price Downer Engineering Ltd, a prominent New Zealand engineering conglomerate. Responsible for group commercial management; including tender and contract management, and introducing commercial systems and procedures

1989 -1990 Senior Contracts Administrator for Cable Price Downer Ltd, a specialist project company within the New Zealand “Downer” Group of companies. Focus on positioning and securing work for Downer companies on the ANZAC Ship Project, particularly through license arrangements with European and North American brand companies, e.g. Raytheon.
